I lifted her and instead, I rose up
She seemed comfortable, a friend
But I see more, her body, her lips
All of myself I want to her lend

She visits; for me does she come?
She smiles and plays but with her
Words I am held at a distance from
Her, unable to bring myself near

Friendship is our connection
Yet I wish to break it for more
Despite chances of dark reflection
And months of a chest so sore

The willing heart is powerful
But succumbs to rigid mind
The body urges towards lustful,
Thoughts prevent a physical find

They break emotion, ruin steps
Crumble in front of the easy path
By reason let not the heart be kept
Wash off logic; in emotions bath

I shall see much clearer
When her eyes are shut
Into her being I’ll be a seer
When our lips doth touch
